A homework packet went home today. It is due next Monday. Please remind your third grader to complete their daily reading and math fact practice too!

A note will be coming home about your child’s biography research project. We will be doing some research in class as well as the writing part, but some help and support will be needed by you at home. Please see a copy of the note below. This paper will need to be returned to school by Tuesday, March 22. Thank you!
We had our Just Write Celebration today! Thanks for coming to celebrate our biography writing. Everyone looked so GREAT dressed as the person they researched!! Check out the video.

Tomorrow is our Just Write celebration from 9:30-10:00.
Make sure your child brings whatever is needed to dress as the person they researched. Each student will have their writing to share as well as information to tell you about their work.

Your student should dress as the person they did their biography writing on.
This does not need to be expensive. Use whatever clothing items you have around the house or can borrow. Get creative!

We are wrapping up our biography unit for reading and are moving on to research in writing. The students have chosen a person that they read about or that they wanted to know more about.
Your child will need to bring in additional facts to supplement the materials that they have here. A note is coming home today about looking up more information. Please check for this note.
Please have your child bring in printed articles or books from the local library for Monday.

This is just a reminder that the biography project is due on Wednesday. There have been a few coming in and they are looking wonderful!!! I can’t wait to learn about the important people in history that the students have read about.
