3rd Grade News!

We have new spelling words.  We practiced our alphabetical order skills with our new words and then the list went home. Our new words are:  tight, while, show, stone, bright, whole, window, time, follow, close, flight, tide, float, broke, throat.
We are studying the long i and long o spelling patterns.

In Math, we are beginning a new unit that will cover the 6s, 7s, and 8s multiplication facts. We started learning the 6s facts yesterday. It is very very important that multiplication facts are practiced regularly at home. Please continue to use the math fact log and have it turned in on Mondays. Thanks!

I am looking for a few parent volunteers to help with math fact practice (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:00-3:30. Please email me and let me know if you are available to help. Thanks!

Jet’s Pizza night is tonight (Dec. 4)! Don’t forget to mention Georgetown and our class!!

Next week is our Holiday Shop. More information will be coming.

This Week!

Today we had a chance to go to the Holiday Shop. If you were planning on sending money with your third grader and forgot, the shop will be open all week for your third grader to go.

We will have our plant parts assessment tomorrow. Two papers will be coming home to study tonight. Help your third grader to review the plant parts and their functions.
