Week of October 16

Parents,
Here are a few things to know for this week:

  • Culver’s Night tonight 5-8pm!
  • A new homework packet will be coming home today. It is due next Monday, Oct. 23. A spelling pre-test with a new spelling word list should come home as well. These words should be practiced for the spelling test on Friday.
  • We will have a social studies quiz on Wednesday. We are learning about how people, goods, and ideas move. A review will come home home on Tuesday.
  • We have library on Wednesday. Please remind  your third grader to return their books so they will be able to check out new ones.
  • School Pictures were sent home today. Retakes are October 26.
  • Multiplication Fluency Practice: On Fridays (and sometimes more often) we assess multiplication fluency. This helps the students to know their own progress with learning their facts. Students will be given a multiplication fact page one fact group at a time. We have already completed the 1’s facts and the 2’s facts. Some students will be moving on to the 3’s facts. Some will keep practicing the 2’s.  Your child has a graph where they are keeping track of their progress so they know what to continue working on. Ask your child what facts they are working on for this Friday!

Thank you!
